  Cases studies

ADAPT- MED will focus part of its research (the policy exercise proposed under WP5 and its preparatory knowledge base development under WP2) to three research sites, one from each partner country France, Portugal and Greece.  Remaining research activities, including surveys of decision makers will have a wider focus (the three countries, the European scale).

ADAPT-ME will address jointly the three priority vulnerable sectors identified under the research call, i.e.: freshwater resources, availability and use (including water supply and sanitation); urban infrastructure and agglomerations; and ecosystem services. While the three vulnerable sectors will receive similar attention when building the knowledge base for each research site, their relative importance in the policy exercises will depend on individual research site contexts and on the priorities of decision makers involved in these policy

exercises.
